Strategic Goals and Objectives
The strategic planning workshop of the DR Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality was
held on 01 and 02 July 2008 at De Rust, Klerksdorp and the document produced maps out the strategic direction the municipality is taking, considering the new name, logo, image and brand packaging (the brand that is also associated with the name and person of DR Kenneth Kaunda).
The following are the
key (general) strategic goals and objectives adopted:
* To promote physical infrastructure development and services
* To promote socio-economic development
* To provide environmental health services
* To ensure disaster risk management
* To promote intergrated transport services
* To promiote community safety
* To ensure internal municipal excellence
